Books and Media Donations

Our librarians accept donations on behalf of the Friends. We only accept donations during the library’s open hours.

Friends of the Oroville Library raises funds by selling donated books at our ongoing book sale inside the library as well as through vendors and community book sales. We also redistribute books in good condition to support NCWL, literacy programs, and activities. We appreciate the generosity of our donors!

We gladly accept these gently used items in good condition: books of all genres, DVDs, audiobooks on CD. Please check your boxes before donating.

Help our librarians and volunteers by only donating acceptable items. Please remove all bookmarks and Post-it notes before donating.

We cannot accept books that are written in dirty, moldy, wet, torn, have strong odors, bugs, rodent residue, or are otherwise damaged, encyclopedias, textbooks, travel guides or technology books that are more than three years old, magazines and pamphlets, VHS tapes, music CDs, video games, or any other items that are not listed.
